Our Philosophy

Aesthetic surgery is deeply personal.
It exists at the intersection of
identity
and perception.

The work begins with listening. Results are measured not by how dramatic the change is, but by how natural it remains in movement, in expression, and over time.

The Consultation
and the plan that follows

The consultation is a conversation first. Dr. Castro begins by listening: to what you want, what concerns you, and what matters most about how you want to look. No recommendation is made before that picture is complete.

Every surgical plan is built around your anatomy, not a standard approach. Structural work is planned with long-term outcomes in mind: how the result will move, age, and integrate with how you naturally appear.

The plan is laid out in full: the proposed approach, why it was chosen, and what recovery actually looks like.

Common Questions

What happens during a consultation?

Your consultation begins with a conversation. Dr. Castro listens to what you want to change and what matters most to you, examines your anatomy, and discusses whether surgery is the right path. If it is, he lays out a plan built around you: the approach, the reasoning behind it, and what recovery involves. Every consultation is unhurried and private.

Am I a candidate for aesthetic surgery?

Candidacy depends on your goals, your anatomy, and your overall health. The only way to know with confidence is a consultation, where Dr. Castro can assess your concerns in person and give you an honest recommendation, including when surgery is not the right choice.

What procedures does Dr. Castro perform?

Dr. Castro focuses on aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body, including facelift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, breast lift, tummy tuck, liposuction, and mommy makeover. You can explore the full range on the procedures page.

How far in advance should I plan surgery?

Timelines vary by procedure and by how recovery fits your schedule. Many patients plan several weeks to a few months ahead. If you have an event or season in mind, mention it at your consultation and Dr. Castro will help you plan backward from it.

What does it mean to be fellowship-trained?

Fellowship training is additional, optional education pursued beyond the standard plastic surgery residency. After his six-year integrated residency, Dr. Castro completed the Bruce Connell Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship and trained under Timothy Marten, MD, and Ozan Sozer, MD. This advanced, aesthetics-focused training concentrated on surgery of the face, breast, and body, including complex primary and revision cases, and sharpened the technique and judgment behind natural, lasting results. Dr. Castro is trained in and authorized to perform the Glidelift™, Dr. Sozer's hidden-scar, deep-plane facelift technique.
