How it works

  1. Consultation

    Dr. Castro examines your skin, reviews your skin type and pigment history, and confirms whether CO₂ is the right fit. You leave with a skin preparation plan for before treatment.

  2. Treatment

    In the office, after the skin is numbed, the laser is passed across your face in controlled patterns. Treatment takes about 30 to 90 minutes.

  3. Recovery

    Expect redness, swelling, and peeling for about a week. New skin is pink at first and fades over four to six weeks. Strict sun protection matters for several months.

Risks

Every procedure has risks. For CO₂ laser resurfacing they include prolonged redness, dark spots or skin lightening, infection, milia or acne-like bumps, cold sore flare-ups, and scarring. Dr. Castro reviews these with you at your consultation.

  • Schedule your consultation by November 30, 2026, and complete treatment by January 31, 2027.
  • Additional treatments and other treatment areas are not included and are quoted separately.
  • Prescription medications are not included and may be covered by your insurance.
